Spencer Doucet
Spencer began his automotive career in 1998, washing vehicles at a local Mesa dealership. By 1999, his passion for cars propelled him into the role of line technician, and in 2008 he achieved the prestigious GM World Class Technician certification—an accomplishment that marked the pinnacle of his automotive expertise.
His enthusiasm for powersports emerged in 2003 with the purchase of his first dirt bike. Over the years, that passion evolved from Yamaha YZ250 and YZ450 models into Polaris side-by-sides, culminating in his current 2020 RZR Turbo S4. Spencer not only mastered the operation of these machines but also developed the skills to maintain, repair, and enhance their performance.
For 16 years, Spencer set the benchmark for excellence in automotive service through H&I Automotive. Building on that legacy, he launched H&I MotorSports to bring the same integrity, enthusiasm, and dedication to Arizona’s motorsports community. This new chapter represents both a challenge and an opportunity—one Spencer is fully prepared to embrace.
Kris Minyard
Kris Minyard, a proud Arizona native born in 1986, comes from a long line of mechanically inclined and creative individuals. His love for the outdoors—whether camping in the desert, forest, dunes, or by the lake—has been a defining part of his life. Riding ATVs and dirt bikes has been second nature to him since childhood, fueling a lifelong connection to motorsports.
At seventeen, Kris began building his “toolbox” of skills, laying the foundation for a career in fabrication and welding. Off-road motorsports quickly became his favorite arena for applying those talents, though he takes equal pride in helping others repair or create anything his skill set allows. Among all the tools he’s mastered, one stands above the rest: the TIG welder, his undisputed favorite.
Chris Marini
Chris brings decades of customer service expertise and operational leadership to H&I MotorSports. Before entering the automotive industry, he served as operations manager for several construction rental companies, honing the skills that would later define his career. In 1999, encouraged by close friends—including automotive technician Spencer Doucet—Chris transitioned into automotive service, quickly earning a reputation as a service advisor who consistently exceeded client expectations.
By 2013, Chris partnered with Spencer to elevate H&I Automotive into a benchmark of excellence within the industry. His passion extends beyond cars; Chris has long been involved in powersports, beginning with a Yamaha MX100 in his teens, progressing to an RM450, and later enjoying adventures with his Yamaha Rhino. Eventually, he shifted his focus to high-performance driving, channeling his enthusiasm into precision and speed.
Though Chris won’t be the one turning wrenches on your vehicle, his influence is felt throughout every customer interaction at H&I MotorSports. From start to finish, his dedication ensures that each client’s experience reflects the integrity and enthusiasm that define the brand.
